Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving in the Black Sea Region, head towards the town of Balaklava, located approximately 30 km northwest of Sevastopol. From Balaklava, take the D204 road heading southwest. Continue on this road, passing through charming villages and scenic landscapes. After about 50 km, follow signs to Tarkhankut Peninsula, which is well-marked. Drive towards the village of Chervonohryhorivka, and then continue toward the Tarkhankut Peninsula. The final stretch involves navigating some unpaved roads, so be cautious. Parking is available near the main viewing areas.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From major cities in the Black Sea Region, take a bus to Sevastopol. Once in Sevastopol, you can transfer to a minibus (marshrutka) heading toward Balaklava. Upon arriving in Balaklava, look for minibuses or shared taxis that go to Tarkhankut Peninsula. Please note that the frequency of transportation may vary, so check local schedules. Expect to pay around 30-50 TRY for the bus to Sevastopol and an additional 20-30 TRY for the minibus to Balaklava.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi or using a rideshare app from Sevastopol or Balaklava to Tarkhankut Peninsula. This option is more expensive, typically costing around 300-500 TRY depending on your starting point. Ensure to agree on a price before starting your journey to avoid misunderstandings.

• Walking (Once Arrived)

  Once you arrive at Tarkhankut Peninsula, be prepared to walk to explore the beautiful coastal views and natural attractions. There are several walking trails that lead to scenic spots, including the famous Tarkhankut cliffs and beaches. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as some trails can be rugged and may take a while to navigate.
