Getting There

    From Göreme, head to the main bus station located near the center of town. Look for the bus that is headed towards Nevşehir. The buses are usually marked with their destination and leave every 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kaymaklı. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kaymaklı bus stop, you can easily walk to the Kaymaklı Underground City entrance, which is a short 5-minute walk straight ahead from the bus stop.

  • Dolmuş (Shared Minibus)

    If you are in Ürgüp, find the dolmuş stop near the town square. Look for the minibus heading to Kaymaklı or Nevşehir. Dolmuşes run frequently, approximately every 15-20 minutes. The ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kaymaklı stop, you will be just a short walk to the entrance of the underground city, which is easily visible from the main road.
