If you are traveling by car from the center of Commagene, start by heading southeast on the main road (D-400) towards Adıyaman. Continue for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the town of Kâhta. Once in Kâhta, follow the signs for 'Eski Kahta' and head towards the ancient site of Arsameia. The site is located about 10 kilometers from Kâhta, and you will need to take a left onto a smaller road that leads directly to Arsameia. Make sure to park in designated areas before embarking on foot to explore the site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a minibus (dolmuş) from the center of Commagene to Kâhta. The fare is usually around 15 TL and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Kâhta, you can take a local taxi or arrange for a ride to Arsameia, which is about 10 kilometers away. Taxi fares can vary, but expect to pay around 50 TL for the trip. It's recommended to negotiate the fare beforehand.
Walking
After arriving by car or taxi at the site, prepare for a short walk to the entrance of Arsameia. The area is not fully developed for tourism, so good walking shoes are recommended.
