• Car

  If you are driving from Galatia to Sultanahmet Square, start by heading southwest on the main road towards the Fatih district. Follow the signs for Sultanahmet. You will likely encounter heavy traffic, so be prepared for delays. Once you reach the Fatih area, look for signs leading to Sultanahmet. There are several parking options near the square, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically costing around 20-30 Turkish Lira per hour. Once parked, it’s a short walk to Sultanahmet Square.

• Public Transportation - Tram

  To reach Sultanahmet Square using public transportation, find the nearest tram station in Galatia. Board the T1 tram towards Kabataş. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Disembark at the Sultanahmet station. From the tram stop, follow the signs to Sultanahmet Square, which is only a few minutes' walk away. The tram ticket costs around 15 Turkish Lira. Ensure you have enough balance on your Istanbulkart (public transport card) for the fare.
