Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Göreme, specifically near the Göreme Open-Air Museum. Head south on Müze Cd. towards the main road (Aydınlı K. Cd). After a few minutes, turn left onto the main road and continue walking for about 3 kilometers. You will pass through the beautiful landscape and local shops. Keep an eye out for signposts directing you to Uçhisar. As you approach Uçhisar, you will notice Uchisar Castle rising prominently in the distance. Continue walking towards the castle, and you will reach it in about 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    From Göreme, head to the main bus stop located near the town center. Take a dolmuş (shared minibus) heading to Uçhisar. The ride takes around 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive in Uçhisar, disembark at the main square, and you will see Uchisar Castle within walking distance. Just follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
