Getting there

Walking

From the center of Göreme, head southwest on the main street (Aydınlı Mahallesi). Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Uçhisar Castle. You will pass by several shops and cafés along the way, which makes for a pleasant walk. Once you reach the base of the castle, you will see the entrance. The castle is situated on a hill, so prepare for a short climb to get to the top.

Public Transport (Dolmuş)

From Göreme, walk to the main bus station located near the town center. Look for the 'Uçhisar' dolmuş (shared minibus). The ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive in Uçhisar, get off at the stop nearest to Uçhisar Castle. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the castle entrance. Follow the signs pointing towards the castle, and you will easily find your way.

Taxi

If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from Göreme to Uçhisar Castle. You can hail a taxi from the main square in Göreme or ask your hotel to call one for you. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Uçhisar Castle, and they will know the exact location.
