Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Güzelyurt from your current location in Isauria. Follow the signs for Aksaray, and then take the D300 highway. Merge onto the D300 and continue for about 30 kilometers. Once you reach the town of Güzelyurt, follow the signs to Ihlara Valley. The valley is approximately 14 kilometers from Güzelyurt. Turn onto the road leading to Karşıyaka, where you will find the entrance to Ihlara Valley. There is a small parking fee of around 10 TL for vehicles.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transport, take a minibus (dolmuş) from Güzelyurt to Ihlara Valley. These minibuses run frequently from the main bus station in Güzelyurt. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and a one-way fare is approximately 15 TL. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the entrance of Ihlara Valley, as some may only go to the town center.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Güzelyurt to Ihlara Valley. The drive takes about 20 minutes, and the fare should be around 100 TL. It’s advisable to negotiate the price before starting your journey, as taxi rates can vary.

• Walking

  If you enjoy hiking and are already near Güzelyurt, you can walk to Ihlara Valley via the scenic pathways. It’s about a 14-kilometer walk that takes approximately 3-4 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trails can be uneven and require some stamina.
