Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Kaş, head east on the D400 highway. After approximately 18 kilometers, you will see signs for Patara. Take the exit towards Gelemiş and follow the road signs leading to Patara Ruins. The entrance to the ruins is located in the village of Gelemiş, which is just a few minutes' drive from the highway. Parking is available near the entrance, but be sure to check for any parking fees which typically range from 5-20 TL.

Public Transportation
From Kaş, you can take a minibus (dolmuş) towards Gelemiş. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Kaş, and the fare is approximately 15-20 TL. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Patara stop in Gelemiş. From there, it’s a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the entrance of the Patara Ruins.

Walking
Once you arrive at the entrance of the ruins, you can explore the area on foot. The site is quite expansive, and there are many interesting historical points to see, including the ancient theater and the agora. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as some paths may be uneven. Admission to the ruins costs around 50 TL.
