If you are in the Sultanahmet area, you can easily reach Binbirdirek Cistern by walking. Head towards the Hippodrome of Constantinople and locate the famous Blue Mosque. From the Blue Mosque, walk east on At Meydanı Street until you reach İmran Öktem Street. Turn left on İmran Öktem Street and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you see the entrance to Binbirdirek Cistern on your right.

If you are further away, take the tram from Taksim Square to Kabataş, and transfer to the tram line heading towards Bağcılar. Get off at the Sultanahmet stop.
