Metro
Take the M2 metro line from any station in Istanbul heading towards Yenikapı. Get off at the Vezneciler station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the Vezneciler tram stop and switch to the T1 tram line towards Kabataş. Ride the tram for 4 stops and get off at Sultanahmet station. From the tram stop, head east on Divan Yolu street for a short walk until you reach Sultanahmet Square.
Tram
If you are near a tram stop on the T1 line, board a tram heading towards Kabataş. It’s a direct line to Sultanahmet. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at Sultanahmet station, and you will find yourself right at the square.
Walking
If you are already in the Sultanahmet area or nearby, you can walk to Sultanahmet Square. Look for the prominent landmarks like the Hagia Sophia or the Blue Mosque, which are both located adjacent to the square. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to 'Sultanahmet Meydanı' which is the local name for the square.
Bus
Take any bus that routes towards Eminönü or Sultanahmet. Major bus lines include 28, 30, or 31. Get off at Eminönü and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Sultanahmet Square. Head towards the Galata Bridge, cross it, and continue straight until you reach the famous landmarks of Sultanahmet.
