Fantastic Tour of the 7 Churches of Revelation

My husband and I had scheduled a Greek Cruise and one of the stops was going to be Ephesus. Revelation is my husband’s favorite book in the Bible and so he asked me if it was possible to extend our vacation to see the rest of the churches. I was a little nervous about scheduling a trip to Turkey on my own, but after some research I found Puerto Travel. Ayfer Selci, at the travel agency answered, all of my initial questions and handled all of the details of the trip. She was quick to respond, very professional and put my mind at ease relative to the details. Ayfer is the reason I chose to book the trip. Puerto Travel was able to customize the tour to meet our needs. For example, the 7 Churches tour is typically a 4 -day tour. They were able to modify it so that we were able to see all of things we wanted in 3 days – which was the amount of time we would be in Turkey. Day 1 - they picked us up from the cruise terminal and we saw Mother Mary’s House and Ephesus. Several days later, after our cruise was completed, we flew back to Izmir for the second and third days of the tour. This travel agency focuses on smaller groups and can tailor the tour to meet your needs. The price for the tour was very reasonable relative to the value. We had the same tour guide Gufte and the same driver Sahli which was great for continuity. Gufte was extremely knowledgeable – she knew so much about the history of each city. Travel agents in Turkey are highly educated with a degree and have to be licensed. This was clear based on Gufte’s knowledge. It was amazing to see how much of the original city was preserved. We also loved the information she provided on the Turkish culture. We had the opportunity to see how Turkish carpet was made and to eat some good food at one of her favorite restaurants. Salih was also excellent driver, safe and extremely kind. We were transported in a beautiful new sprinter van. We were well taken care of. By the end of the tour we felt like Gufte and Salih were our new friends. Travel to Turkey is really economical right now for Americans give the value of the dollar to the local currency – so it is a good time to travel there. We also felt really welcomed by the Turkish people. If we are ever fortunate enough to go back to Turkey, we would definitely use Puerto Travel again and would request Gufte and Salih. Do not hesitate to book with Puerto Travel if you are looking for a guide in any part of Turkey.

Great day, visit and tour

I had an amazing day at Ephesus! I really do recommend to visit this place. Our guide Erman Uslu was great and took very well care of ud during the entire day. The driver was very polite and drew carefully too. Also the car was good! The only thing I think could be improved = a bottle of water should be included and given to guests. The shop visits we did could be much better!

Erman Uslu was an amazing guide who kept us completely informed and entertained with a wealth of knowledge, not just about Pammakale and Hieropolis, but also Ephesus, Izmir and overall Greek-Roman-Turkish history. Throught the long day trip, we were entertained with historical background as well as myth and stories, demonstrating amazing intellectual breadth. The whole trip was great in a very comfortable vehicle, tailoring to our preferences. So much so, that we barely felt tired despite spending nearly 11 hours on the Pamukkale and Hieropolis tour. Both trip, and the guide (Erman) are highly recommended.
