Continue straight through the town and follow the signs for Sümela Monastery. The monastery is located within Altındere Valley National Park. There is a parking area available near the entrance, and parking fees may apply, typically around 20-30 TL.

From Trabzon, you can take a minibus (dolmuş) heading to Maçka. These minibuses depart regularly from the Trabzon city center. Upon arriving in Maçka, you can either walk or take a taxi to Sümela Monastery, which is about 10 km from the town center. Walking may take around 2-3 hours, but taxis are available and cost approximately 50-70 TL.
