Start from the center of Bayramaly, near the main square. Head east on Turkmenistan Street. Walk for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Merv Street. Turn left onto Merv Street and continue walking for another 1.5 km. You will pass local shops and cafes, so feel free to stop for refreshments. After 1.5 km, you should see a bus stop. From here, you can catch a local minibus heading towards Merv.

Minibus
Take the minibus from the bus stop you reached after walking from Bayramaly. The fare is usually very cheap, around 1 TMT (Turkmen Manat). Inform the driver that you want to go to Merv, and they will drop you off close to the archaeological site. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Merv, look for signs directing you to Erk Kala, which is about a 1 km walk from the minibus drop-off point.
