Car
From the city of Mary, drive northwest on the M37 highway for approximately 47 kilometers. You'll pass through the towns of Tashkent and then continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Ahal Region. At the intersection, take the exit towards Garagum Etraby. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you see signs pointing to Durnali. The final destination will be on the right side of the road. Make sure to have a map or GPS ready, as signage may be limited.
Public Transportation
From Mary, head to the central bus station and look for buses heading towards Garagum Etraby. The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. The ticket price is usually around 5-10 Turkmen manat. Once you arrive in Garagum Etraby, ask locals for directions to Durnali or hire a local taxi (approximately 10-15 Turkmen manat) to take you to the exact location, as it may be a bit off the main road.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Mary to Durnali. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and cost around 100-150 Turkmen manat. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, and confirm with the driver that they know the location of Durnali, as it may not be a common destination.
