Walking
If you are starting from the main town area of Fongafale, head towards the main path that runs along the coast. You will want to walk in the direction of the airport. As you walk, keep the ocean on your left side. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach a fork in the path. Take the right path which leads to the quieter side of the island. Follow this path for another 10 minutes. You should start to see signs for Fualu’ulopa Beach. The beach is located near a small cluster of trees, and you will see a sandy area where you can relax.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Fongafale. Start by cycling along the main coastal road, always keeping the ocean to your left. Cycle for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the fork in the road. Take the right path and continue cycling for about another 10 minutes. Look for signs pointing to Fualu’ulopa Beach. The beach will be just off the path, and you can easily navigate toward the sandy area from there.
