Turn right onto the Nyero road and continue for approximately 12 kilometers. The road will lead you directly to the Nyero Rock Paintings site, which is located at the coordinates 1.4714° N, 33.8462° E. Parking is available at the site.

    To reach Nyero Rock Paintings using public transportation, catch a shared taxi or matatu from Gulu to Ngora. Once you reach Ngora, look for local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) services or a taxi that can take you to Nyero. The distance from Ngora to Nyero is approximately 20 kilometers, and the fare for the boda-boda should not exceed 10,000 UGX. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.

  • Boda-Boda

    If you are already in Nyero village, you can hire a boda-boda to take you to the rock paintings. The site is about 5 kilometers from the center of Nyero village. The fare should be around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX. Ensure that you agree on the price beforehand and ask the driver to wait for you while you explore the paintings.
