Car
If you are driving from Mbarara town, head southeast on the Mbarara - Masaka Road (also known as the Entebbe-Mbarara Road). Continue straight for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see Independence Park on your left side at the coordinates 9MQ6+JGM, Mbarara - Masaka Rd, Mbarara. Look for the entrance signs as you approach the park.
Public Transportation
To reach Independence Park using public transportation, start by taking a taxi or matatu from the center of Mbarara town heading towards Masaka. The fare should be around 1,000 UGX to 2,000 UGX. Inform the conductor that you wish to stop at Independence Park, and they will drop you off near the entrance. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk to the park entrance.
Walking
If you are already in Mbarara and prefer to walk to Independence Park, start from the town center and head southeast towards the Mbarara - Masaka Road. Walk straight for about 3 kilometers, keeping an eye out for the park on your left side. The walk will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
