If you are traveling by car, start from Mbarara town. Take the A104 road heading towards Bushenyi. After approximately 60 km, you will reach the junction for the road to Ishasha. Turn onto the Rukungiri-Ishasha road and continue for about 30 km until you reach the Ishasha Sector entrance gate of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Be prepared for potential road conditions that may vary, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
To reach Ishasha Sector via public transportation, first head to Mbarara town and look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Kisoro or Ishasha. The bus ride will take about 2-3 hours. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the Ishasha entrance gate of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Once you arrive, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you the final stretch to the entrance gate. Costs for the bus will typically range between 15,000 - 25,000 UGX depending on the service.
