Car
If you are driving from Mbarara town, head north on the Mbarara-Kabale road (A404) for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Omugabe Palace. You will take a right turn onto a smaller road, which will lead you directly to the palace. The total drive should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Public Transportation
From Mbarara town, you can take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi (shared van) heading towards the direction of Kabale. Inform the driver that you wish to visit Omugabe Palace, and they will drop you off at the closest point. The fare for a boda boda should be around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX, while a taxi fare may range from 1,000 to 3,000 UGX depending on how many passengers are on board.
Walking
If you are close to the palace and prefer to walk, you can follow the main road leading north from Mbarara. Once you reach the sign for Omugabe Palace, turn right onto the smaller road that leads directly to the palace. The walk may take about 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
