    Car

    If you have a car, start your journey in Ankole towards Gulu. Take the main road leading north. After approximately 70 kilometers, you will reach a junction; take the left turn onto Gulu - Patiko Road. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach Fort Patiko, which will be on your right. Be sure to check for road conditions, especially during the rainy season.

    Public Transportation - Matatu

    Head to the nearest matatu (shared taxi) stage in Ankole. Look for a matatu heading to Gulu. The fare is approximately 10,000 UGX (Ugandan Shillings). Once you arrive in Gulu, you will need to find another matatu or boda boda (motorcycle taxi) that goes to Patiko. The fare for the matatu to Patiko is around 5,000 UGX. Ensure you confirm with the driver that the matatu will take you to Fort Patiko.
