If you are driving, start from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Take the Kampala-Gulu Highway (A109) heading north. The journey is approximately 340 kilometers and takes about 5 to 6 hours. Once you reach Gulu, follow signs for Gulu - Patiko Rd. Continue on Gulu - Patiko Rd for about 10 kilometers until you reach Fort Patiko, which will be on your left.

Public Transportation - Bus
From Kampala, head to the Kampala Bus Terminal (usually located at the city center). Look for buses heading to Gulu. The bus fare ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 UGX. The journey takes about 8 hours. Once in Gulu, you can take a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to Fort Patiko. The fare for the boda-boda ride is around 10,000 to 20,000 UGX depending on your negotiation skills.
