If you are traveling by car, you can set your GPS to the coordinates 0.5754, 31.3792. Start from Kampala and head northwest on the Kampala-Mubende Road (A109). After approximately 90 kilometers, you will reach Mubende. Upon entering Mubende town, look for signs directing you towards the Nakayima Tree Shrine, which is located just outside the town center. Keep an eye out for local signage as you approach the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Nakayima Tree Shrine via public transportation, first, head to the main bus terminal in Kampala. Look for a bus or taxi heading to Mubende. The journey typically takes around 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Mubende, you can take a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi to the shrine. Make sure to communicate your destination clearly to the driver. The fare for the boda boda should range between 5,000 to 10,000 UGX, depending on the distance.
