From the center of Bunyoro, head northwest on the main road towards Hoima. After approximately 40 kilometers, you will see a sign for Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve. Turn left onto a dirt road that leads directly to the reserve entrance. The journey should take around 1 hour depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to have some cash (approximately 20,000 UGX) for entrance fees.

To reach Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve using public transport, you can take a taxi or bus from Bunyoro to Hoima. Buses leave frequently from the main bus park. Once in Hoima, you will need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you directly to the reserve. The motorcycle ride will take about 30 minutes and will cost around 10,000 UGX.
