Getting there

Private Car

If you have access to a private car, start by heading towards Jinja Road (A-1) from your starting point in Busoga. Continue on this road for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction at Iganga. Turn left onto the Iganga-Buwaya Road (B-3) and follow it for about 15 kilometers. When you reach the roundabout in Kamuli, take the second exit onto the Kamuli-Sironko Road. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will enter the outskirts of Kampala. Follow the signs towards Makindye Division, and you will arrive at Buziga, located at 5 Salaama 9109.

Public Transport (Matatu)

To reach Buziga using public transportation, find a local matatu (shared taxi) heading to Kampala. You can catch a matatu from major towns in Busoga, such as Jinja or Iganga. The fare will typically range from 2,000 to 5,000 UGX, depending on the distance. Once you arrive at the main taxi park in Kampala, transfer to a matatu heading towards Makindye. After a short ride, ask to be dropped off near Salaama Road, where Buziga is located. It may take about 1-2 hours total for this journey, depending on traffic.

Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

If you're looking for a quicker option, consider taking a boda boda from Kampala city center. You can hire a boda boda to take you directly to Buziga. The fare should be negotiated before the ride, typically costing around 10,000 to 15,000 UGX. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow safety precautions. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
