Car
From Kampala, take the Kampala-Gulu highway (A-1). Continue on this road for approximately 260 km. Once you reach the town of Pader, look for signs directing you to Aruu Falls. Follow the signs to VJWX+GFX, Unnamed Road. The last stretch is roughly 20 km of dirt road; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to the condition of the road. Make sure to check the map for any last-minute adjustments.
Public Transportation
Start your journey from Kampala's city center by taking a bus to Pader. Buses to Pader leave from various terminals, such as the Kisenyi Bus Terminal, and the fare is approximately 20,000 UGX. The journey takes about 5-6 hours. Once in Pader, hire a local bike taxi (boda-boda) or walk to reach VJWX+GFX, Unnamed Road. The distance from the Pader bus park to Aruu Falls is about 20 km. Ensure to negotiate the fare with the boda-boda driver before starting your trip.
Motorbike Taxi (Boda-Boda)
If you are already in Pader, you can hire a boda-boda directly to Aruu Falls. The fare generally ranges from 15,000-25,000 UGX depending on your negotiation skills. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ensure your driver knows the way to VJWX+GFX, Unnamed Road. It’s advisable to wear a helmet for safety.
