Car
If you're driving from the center of Kampala, take Jinja Road (A-1) heading east. Continue on Jinja Road for about 4 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at Nakawa. Take the second exit at the roundabout to merge onto the Kampala Northern Bypass. Drive for approximately 10 kilometers, then take the exit towards Nsambya. Follow the signs for Nsambya Road and continue straight. When you reach Nsamba Cl, turn left. Kajik Avenue will be on your right after a short distance. Ensure you have cash for fuel costs, which may vary depending on your vehicle's consumption.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
To reach Kajik Avenue using public transport, locate a Matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Nsambya from any major bus station in Kampala, like the Old Taxi Park. The fare ranges between 1,000 to 2,000 UGX, depending on your starting point. Once you board, inform the conductor you are headed to Nsamba Cl. The journey will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Alight at the Nsambya junction and walk towards Nsamba Cl. Kajik Avenue will be a short walk from there, taking about 5 minutes.
Boda Boda
For a quicker and more flexible option, you can hire a Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi) from anywhere in Central Region. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey; typically, it should cost around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX depending on the distance from your current location. Ask the Boda Boda rider to take you to Kajik Avenue at 1631 Nsamba Cl. This method is faster than Matatus, especially during peak hours, but always prioritize safety and wear a helmet.
Use Kajik avenue as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
