Car
If you are driving from Jinja, head west on the Jinja-Kampala highway (A109). Continue on this road for approximately 75 km until you reach Kampala. Once in Kampala, follow signs to Nakawa. Take the exit toward Portbell and follow Portbell Road until you reach the Luzira landing site at Portbell Pier. Be mindful of traffic, especially during peak hours, and consider using a GPS for real-time directions.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Jinja, take a matatu (shared taxi) to Kampala. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the main taxi park in Kampala, look for a matatu heading to Nakawa or Luzira. The fare for the matatu from Jinja to Kampala is around UGX 3,000-5,000, and from Kampala to Luzira, it will be approximately UGX 1,500-3,000. Once in Luzira, ask the driver to drop you off at Portbell Pier, where the Luzira landing site is located.

Boda Boda
If you prefer a quicker option after reaching Nakawa, you can hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you directly to Luzira landing site. The fare should be around UGX 5,000-10,000 depending on your negotiation skills and distance. Make sure to wear a helmet, which is usually provided by the boda boda operator.
