    If you're traveling by car from Elgon, start by heading north on the A44 road towards Mbale. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A109 road near Kapchorwa. Turn right onto the A109, then follow this road through Kapchorwa and continue towards Moroto. After passing through Moroto, take the road towards Kaabong. Finally, from Kaabong, follow the signs for Kidepo National Park, which is approximately 60 km away. Be aware that some sections may be rough, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

    To reach Kidepo National Park from Elgon using public transport, take a taxi or bus from Mbale to Moroto. You can find buses at the Mbale taxi park. Once in Moroto, you need to catch a local taxi or hire a private vehicle to take you to Kidepo National Park. Ensure you confirm the fare with the driver beforehand. The total cost for the bus ride to Moroto should be around 15,000-20,000 UGX, and the hire from Moroto to Kidepo could cost around 150,000-200,000 UGX depending on negotiation.
