Turn left at this junction and follow the signs for Mount Elgon National Park. The road will lead you through the lush countryside, and you will pass through small villages. After about 20 km, you will arrive at the entrance of Mount Elgon National Park. Be aware that there may be a park entrance fee, which is around $40 for foreign visitors.

To reach Mount Elgon National Park using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Elgon town to Mbale. The matatus usually leave frequently, and the fare is approximately 5,000 Ugandan Shillings. Once you reach Mbale, look for another matatu heading towards Budadiri. After about a 30-minute ride, you will arrive at Budadiri. From there, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to the park entrance, which should cost around 10,000 Ugandan Shillings. Ensure to confirm the rate before starting your ride.
