Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the central area of Entebbe, start at the Entebbe Botanical Gardens located along the Lake Victoria shore. From the gardens, head south along the waterfront towards Manyago. Continue walking along the shoreline until you reach the junction with the main road. Turn left onto the main road, which is the Airport Road (A104). Walk for about 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Entebbe beach on your right. Follow the path leading down to the beach.

  • Bicycle

    For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Entebbe. Start your ride from the central business district and head towards the Entebbe Botanical Gardens. After visiting the gardens, cycle south along the waterfront. When you reach the main road (Airport Road), turn left and continue for about 1 kilometer. Look for the sign for Entebbe beach on your right and follow the pathway down to the sandy shore.

  • Public Transport (Boda Boda)

    If you want a quicker option, you can take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi). Find a boda boda stand in Entebbe. Tell the driver you want to go to Entebbe beach (3F9J+WH4). The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to the beach, from where you can easily walk to the beach area.

  • Public Transport (Matatu)

    You can also take a matatu (shared taxi). Head to the nearest matatu stage in Entebbe, and look for one heading towards Manyago. Once you board, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Entebbe beach. The matatu will drop you off close to the beach area. From there, follow the signs to the beach entrance.
