Getting There

• Bicycle

  From Entebbe, start at the Entebbe International Airport roundabout and head northeast on Airport Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the main road. Turn left onto the road leading to Kampala. Follow this road for about 35 km, passing through various neighborhoods. As you approach Kampala, look for signs pointing towards the city center. Once in the city, continue straight until you reach the Old Kampala area. The Uganda National Mosque is located on Old Kampala Road, easily identifiable by its large dome and minarets.

• Public Bus

  From Entebbe, head to the main bus terminal located at the old taxi park in Entebbe town. Look for buses heading to Kampala (they are frequent). Once on the bus, the journey will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the Old Kampala road junction. After you get off, walk straight on Old Kampala Road for about 10-15 minutes. The Uganda National Mosque will be on your left side, recognizable by its prominent architecture.

• Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)

  Find a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) in Entebbe, which can be found near hotels or busy streets. Negotiate the price to take you to the Uganda National Mosque in Kampala. The trip will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. The boda boda driver will take you directly to the mosque. Ensure to provide the driver with the specific name 'Uganda National Mosque' to avoid confusion.

• Walking

  If you are already in Entebbe town, you can walk to the main bus terminal and take a bus to Kampala as explained above. Once in Kampala, if you are near the city center, you can walk towards Old Kampala. Head northwest towards the Old Kampala area, following the main roads. This will take approximately 1-2 hours but is a great way to experience the local surroundings. The mosque will be on Old Kampala Road, so keep an eye out for its distinctive dome.
