Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Jinja town center, head southeast on Main Street (also known as Jinja Road). Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nile Avenue. Follow Nile Avenue for about 1 km until you reach another roundabout. Take the first exit onto Nile Crescent. The Source of the Nile will be on your right after approximately 300 meters, just before the entrance to the park area.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Jinja. Start at the main bus park and head southeast on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the roundabout. Cycle straight through the roundabout onto Nile Avenue. Follow Nile Avenue for around 1 km, then take the first exit at the next roundabout onto Nile Crescent. The Source of the Nile will be on your right after about 300 meters.

  • Boat

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can take a boat from the Jinja docks. Head to the docks located near the main town center. Look for a boat service offering trips to the Source of the Nile. The boat ride will take you along the river, providing beautiful views. The boat will drop you off near the Source of the Nile area, from where you can walk to the entrance.
