Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
From the center of Kampala, head to the nearest Boda Boda stage. You can find these stages near major landmarks like the Owino Market or the Post Office on Kampala Road. Inform the Boda Boda rider that you want to go to Mulungu Beach, located in the Makindye Division. The ride should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. As you approach the beach, watch for signage indicating Mulungu Beach, which is located near the shores of Lake Victoria.

Matatu (Shared Minibus)
Locate a Matatu heading towards the suburb of Makindye. You can find these at the main Matatu parks such as the one at Kisenyi or near the City Square. Once on the Matatu, inform the conductor that you are going to Mulungu Beach. It will drop you off at the main junction in Makindye. From there, you can either walk or request a Boda Boda to take you the remaining distance to the beach, which is approximately a 10-minute ride.

If you find yourself near the main road in Makindye, you can walk to Mulungu Beach. Start at the Makindye Market and head towards the direction of the lake. Follow the main road, which will lead you to the beach area. It is advisable to ask locals for directions along the way, as they can guide you to the best path to take. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
