If you are traveling by car, start from Moroto town, which is the main hub in the Karamoja region. Head south on the Moroto-Kabong Road (A1) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Kabong. From Kabong, take the Kanyarkwat Road, following the signs for Kanyarkwat. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the coordinates 7WHH+35, Kanyarkwat, Kenya, where Kampala Viewpoint Hill is located. Ensure you have a map or GPS ready, as the roads may not always be well marked. There may be a small fee for parking in the area, so be prepared for that as well.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, first, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Moroto to Kabong. The fare is usually around 5,000 UGX. Once in Kabong, you will need to hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or a local taxi to take you to Kanyarkwat. The boda boda fare should be approximately 10,000 UGX to 15,000 UGX, depending on negotiation. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they know the exact location of Kampala Viewpoint Hill. Be prepared to communicate your destination clearly, as English might not be widely spoken among all drivers.
