If you are driving in Mount Elgon National Park, start from the park entrance at the Bumalang'oi gate. Follow the main road towards Kanyarkwat. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Turn left and continue for another 5 kilometers. Look for road signs indicating Mayosi Caves. You will arrive at the coordinates 1.285694, 34.931589, where the caves are located.

To reach Mayosi Caves via public transport, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Kanyarkwat. The journey will take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Kanyarkwat, you may need to hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you the last 5 kilometers to the caves. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand, which should be around 200-300 KES.
