Getting there

Car

If you are travelling by car, start from the center of Kabale town. Head southwest on the Kabale-Kisoro Road (also known as the Rukungiri-Kabale Road). Continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through scenic areas and small villages along the way. Look for the signs directing you to Kanaba Corner. It is located on the left side of the road, and you should see a viewpoint with beautiful mountain scenery. There is no entrance fee, but be cautious of local traffic and pedestrians.

Public Transportation

To reach Kanaba Corner using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Kabale town heading towards Kisoro. The matatus frequently depart from the main taxi park. Inform the driver that you are heading to Kanaba Corner, and they will drop you off at a point close to the viewpoint. The fare should be about 3,000 UGX. After being dropped off, walk a short distance (approximately 200 meters) back towards the viewpoint, which should be easily visible from the road.

Bicycle

For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Kabale. Follow the same route as if you were driving. Cycling along Kabale-Kisoro Road will provide you with an up-close experience of the local scenery. It's about a 15 km ride, which can take around 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay alert for traffic. Once you reach Kanaba Corner, enjoy the breathtaking views at no additional cost.
