If you are traveling by car, start from Lira and head southwest on the Lira-Kampala Road (A1). Continue driving for approximately 130 kilometers until you reach the town of Mubende. Once in Mubende, follow the signs to Nakayima Tree Shrine. The shrine is located at coordinates 0.5754, 31.3792, which you can enter into your GPS. There is ample parking available near the shrine.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Begin your journey at any major bus terminal in Lira. Board a bus heading towards Kampala. The fare is typically around 15,000-20,000 UGX. Inform the conductor that you wish to stop at Mubende. The bus ride will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Mubende, you can take a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) for about 5,000-10,000 UGX to reach Nakayima Tree Shrine. Make sure to show the driver the coordinates (0.5754, 31.3792) or ask for directions to the shrine.
