Car
From Lira, head northwest on the A2 highway towards Pakwach. This road is well-paved and easy to navigate. After approximately 95 kilometers, you will reach Pakwach town. Continue straight through Pakwach, following signs for Murchison Falls National Park. The Northern Gate (Tangi) is located about 18 kilometers from Pakwach, on the right side of the road. Look for the signs indicating the entrance to the park.

Start by taking a taxi or a bus from Lira to Pakwach. The journey takes around 2-3 hours and costs approximately 10,000 - 15,000 UGX. Once you arrive in Pakwach, you can either take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) or a local taxi (shared vehicle) to the Northern Gate (Tangi). The boda-boda ride will cost around 10,000 - 20,000 UGX and takes about 30 minutes. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
