Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Lira town, head southeast on the A-1 road. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers. As you approach the coordinates 7WQM+R39, look for signs or landmarks indicating NGETTA HILL. The hill is situated about 1 kilometer off the main road. You can park your car near the base of the hill.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a local matatu (shared taxi) from Lira town heading towards Ngetta. Inform the driver that you want to go to NGETTA HILL. The fare will typically be around 2,000 UGX. The matatu will drop you off at a nearby stop, from which you will need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the hill. Follow the path leading to the hill, which is accessible on foot.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Lira and prefer to walk, start from the town center and head southeast towards the A-1 road. Once you reach the A-1, continue walking for about 10 kilometers until you reach the vicinity of the coordinates 7WQM+R39. From there, follow the paths leading up to NGETTA HILL. Be prepared for a hike as the terrain can be steep.
