From the center of Masaka, head northeast towards Masaka Road. Walk along Masaka Road, passing by local shops and eateries. Keep walking until you reach the Kayabwe area, which is approximately 8 kilometers away. Look for signs indicating the Equator. You will find خط الاستواء في اوغندا located at 222Q+2XP, Masaka Rd, Kayabwe. The location is easily identifiable with signage and a small visitor area.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Masaka. Begin your journey by cycling northeast on Masaka Road. The ride should take you about 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Watch for the Kayabwe area as you approach; the Equator landmark is located at 222Q+2XP, Masaka Rd. You will notice a parking area and signposts marking the Equator as you arrive.
Public Transport (Boda Boda)
Find a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) stand in Masaka. Inform the driver that you want to go to خط الاستواء في اوغندا (the Equator). The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. You will be dropped off at the location on Masaka Road in Kayabwe, at 222Q+2XP. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Public Transport (Matatu)
Head to the Matatu stage in Masaka and look for a matatu heading towards Kayabwe. Board the matatu and pay the fare. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Equator. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kayabwe, walk a short distance to the Equator landmark at 222Q+2XP, Masaka Rd.
