From the center of Masaka, head northwest on Main Street towards Clock Tower. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction at the Masaka Central Market. At the market, turn left onto Bukoba Road. Follow Bukoba Road for about 1.5 kilometers. As you walk, you will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Gayaza. After about 1.5 kilometers, look for a sign for Masaka Backpackers on your right, indicating the entrance to the cottage and campsite.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Masaka and ride northwest towards the Clock Tower. From there, turn left onto Main Street, then at the junction, take Bukoba Road. Continue cycling for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will encounter various local attractions along the way. After about 1.5 kilometers on Bukoba Road, watch for the sign for Masaka Backpackers on your right. The entrance will be clearly marked.
