Getting There
Walking
From the center of Masaka, head towards the main road (Masaka-Kyotera Road). You can start at the Masaka Main Market. Walk north on the main road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Kampala-Masaka Highway (A104). Cross the road carefully and continue walking towards Kayabwe. After approximately 6 kilometers, you will see signs for the Uganda Equator. It is located on the left side of the road, where you will find shops and restaurants dedicated to this popular tourist attraction.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Masaka. Start from the Masaka Main Market and head north on the Masaka-Kyotera Road. After about 3 kilometers, turn left onto the Kampala-Masaka Highway (A104). Cycle for another 6 kilometers, and you will see signs for the Uganda Equator on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic as you ride.
Public Transport (Boda Boda)
To get to the Uganda Equator using a Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi), go to a nearby Boda Boda stage in Masaka, typically found near the main market or bus station. Tell the rider you want to go to the Uganda Equator. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the Uganda Equator site, where you can take photos and explore the area.
