Getting There

  • Bicycle

    From Mbarara town center, head south on the main road (Kamukuzi Road) towards the Bypass. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Masaka Road. Turn right onto Masaka Road (A107), and follow the road for about 30 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Lake Mburo National Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can lock your bicycle and enter the park.

  • Public Bus

    Locate the main bus terminal in Mbarara, which is close to the town center. Look for buses heading to Sanga or Nyakisiri as they pass near Lake Mburo National Park. Purchase a ticket and board the bus. The journey takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you get off at the Sanga bus stop, you can either walk (about 8 km) to the park entrance or hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) for a quicker ride.
