Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the center of Mbarara, head northwest on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Buremba Road. Turn right onto Buremba Road and walk for about 700 meters. You will pass several shops and local eateries along the way. After reaching the end of Buremba Road, turn left onto Rubindi Road. Continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you see a sign for Ntare Gardenz on your right. The entrance is marked and is located at coordinates 9MW3+2MM.

Bicycle
From the Mbarara central market, rent a bicycle and head east on NRM Avenue. Cycle straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kamukuzi Road and continue for another 1 kilometer. You will then reach a T-junction. Turn right onto Ruti Road and cycle for about 800 meters. Ntare Gardenz will be on your left, easily recognizable by its lush gardens and entrance signage.

Find a nearby boda boda (motorcycle taxi) stand in Mbarara. Inform the rider that you want to go to Ntare Gardenz. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will navigate through the city and drop you off directly at the entrance of Ntare Gardenz, located at 9MW3+2MM.

Public Transport (Matatu)
To reach Ntare Gardenz by matatu (shared taxi), head to the matatu stage near the Mbarara market. Look for a matatu heading towards Boma. Once you are on board, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Ntare Gardenz. The ride will take about 20 minutes. After disembarking, walk about 200 meters back towards the entrance of Ntare Gardenz, which will be on your left.
