Car
If you're driving from any location within the Ssese Islands, head towards the main ferry landing at Bukakata on the mainland. This is your departure point for Kome Island. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and costs around 10,000 UGX per person one way. Once you arrive at Kome Island, follow the signs towards your accommodation or designated points of interest.
Public Transportation (Boda-Boda)
For those relying on public transport, catch a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) from your location to the ferry landing at Bukakata. The fare will vary depending on distance but expect to pay between 5,000 to 15,000 UGX. After reaching Bukakata, take the ferry to Kome Island as mentioned above.
