From any location in West Nile, head towards the main road leading to Kampala. If you're in Arua, take the Gulu-Arua Road (A1) and drive towards Gulu. Once you reach Gulu, continue south on the A1 road, which will take you through towns like Pakwach and Nakasongola. After approximately 5-6 hours of driving, you will reach Kampala. From Kampala, follow signs to Entebbe. Once in Entebbe, head to Nakiwogo, where Mabamba Shoebills watching is located. Look for signs directing you to the bird watching area as you approach Nakiwogo. Make sure to check for parking options near the site.

Start your journey by taking a bus or shared taxi from Arua to Gulu. Buses to Gulu leave frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
