If you're traveling by car from any location in West Nile, start by heading towards Arua City. From Arua, take the Gulu Road (A1) southbound. Follow the A1 until you reach the junction with the Masindi Road (A4). Turn onto the Masindi Road heading east. Continue on the A4 until you reach the town of Masindi. From Masindi, follow the signs to Kampala, which is roughly 200 kilometers away. As you approach Kampala, you'll see signs for the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe. The coordinates for the Uganda Equator are approximately 0.000076 latitude and 32.039557 longitude. You can park at the Equator site where there are facilities and local craft shops.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach the Uganda Equator using public transportation, start in Arua City and go to the Arua Bus Terminal. Look for buses heading to Kampala. The journey takes about 6-8 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you arrive in Kampala, you can catch a taxi or a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to Kayabwe, where the Uganda Equator is located.
