Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Arua city, which is a central hub in West Nile. Head southeast on the Arua-Koboko road (A1) for about 25 kilometers until you reach the junction near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the junction, turn left onto the road leading to Moyo. Continue on this road for about 18 kilometers. You will see signs indicating directions to Victoria Nile. Follow the signs until you reach the scenic viewpoint along the river, where you can enjoy the beautiful views. Parking is available nearby, but be cautious of your belongings.

  • Public Transport (Matatu)

    For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Arua to Moyo. The matatus leave from the main taxi park in Arua and operate frequently throughout the day. The fare is approximately 5,000 UGX. The journey takes about 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Moyo, you may need to hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Victoria Nile. The fare for a boda boda is around 10,000 UGX for the short trip to the viewpoint.
