Car
From the center of Mbarara, head northeast on the Rukungiri road (A404) for about 68 kilometers. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Mbarara-Kampala road (A104). Turn right and drive approximately 270 kilometers towards Kampala. Once you arrive in Kampala, look for Raja Chambers, which is located in the Central Division. Parking may be available nearby, but you might need to check for local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
Start by taking a taxi or matatu (shared minibus) from Mbarara to Kampala. The journey typically takes around 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic, and costs approximately 15,000 to 25,000 UGX. Upon arriving in Kampala, head to the central area and ask locals for directions to Raja Chambers. It’s a well-known landmark, and you should find the location without much trouble. Be prepared to walk a short distance from where you are dropped off to reach the building.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, consider cycling from Mbarara to Kampala. The distance is about 270 kilometers and will take a day or two, depending on your pace and stops. Start on the A404 road and follow the same route as vehicles. Be sure to pack enough water and snacks, and plan your overnight stays in towns along the way. In Kampala, navigate to Raja Chambers in the Central Division, where you can lock up your bicycle.
