Car
If you are driving, start from the city center of Kampala. Head north on the Gulu Highway (A-1) and follow the road for about 4 km. Take the exit towards Bombo Road (A-109) and continue for another 3 km until you reach the junction with the Kampala Northern Bypass. Merge onto the bypass and drive for approximately 5 km. Take the exit towards Kawempe and follow the signs for Nabankema Hill. The hill is located just off the main road, and you can park at a designated area nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Nabankema Hill via public transport from Kampala, you can take a taxi (shared minibus) from the central taxi park heading towards Bombo or Kawempe. The fare is typically around 2,000 UGX (approximately $0.50). Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Kawempe. Once you arrive in Kawempe, you can either walk to Nabankema Hill (approximately 15-20 minutes on foot) or hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for around 3,000 - 5,000 UGX (approximately $0.75 - $1.25) to take you directly to the hill.
Boda Boda
If you are already in the Kawempe area or nearby, you can hire a boda boda to take you directly to Nabankema Hill. The cost for this ride is generally between 3,000 and 5,000 UGX (about $0.75 - $1.25). Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your journey. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
