Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Yaremche, which is approximately 25 km south of Hoverla Mountain. Take the E50 highway heading north towards Ivano-Frankivsk. After about 12 km, take the exit onto P-24 towards the village of Tatariv. Continue on P-24 for about 10 km until you reach the turnoff towards the Hoverla Mountain trailhead. Parking is available near the trailhead, but note that there may be a small fee (around 50 UAH) for parking. From there, follow the marked hiking trails that lead to Hora Proshchukiv.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) from Yaremche to Tatariv. Marshrutkas leave frequently from the Yaremche bus station. The fare is approximately 30 UAH. Once in Tatariv, you can either walk (about 7 km) to the Hoverla Mountain trailhead or take a local taxi, which may cost around 100 UAH. After reaching the trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 4 km to reach Hora Proshchukiv, following the marked trails.
Hiking
Once you have reached the trailhead, begin your hike towards Hora Proshchukiv. The trail is well-marked, so follow the signs. The hike typically takes about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have appropriate hiking gear, water, and snacks for the journey. The final ascent to Hora Proshchukiv can be steep, so take your time and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
